Adam is considered misanthropic and bitter. Because of his father's experiments on him, he is cynical about everyone's motives and is often difficult to be around. He considers himself a monster and plays on the part, whether as a kanima or personality wise.

HISTORY:

Adam was born to a pathologist and a French mother. As a young boy, Adam was always sick, requiring medical services. His father, the pathologist, often liked to try homemade remedies on him without Adam’s mother’s knowledge. When his father banded with two other doctors to form the Dread Doctors, Adam became their first experiment. Adam’s father offered him as their first attempt due to his weak immune system. Upon their first experiments, Adam was injected with werewolf and kanima blood. However, due to his hatred against his father, the kanima blood took dominance in him. At first he was deemed a failure after he began bleeding a mercury-like substance, but Adam’s father did not allow the others to terminate him just yet. In the end, Adam survived the changes but was still considered a failure in the eyes of the doctors.

With his new kanima features and abilities, Adam grew more powerful and dangerous. An instrument of revenge, his father became his first master ever. His father’s will became his and it became easy for the Dread Doctors to experiment on anyone as long as they had Adam as their weapon. After they mastered immortality, Adam finally broke his bond with his father, releasing himself of his master and escaped. Adam eventually passed the first initial stage and grew wings, but always maintaining werewolf claws that secrete venom. Since he never found a master after his father, Adam still remains bonded in some ways to him. Thus, he remains immortal as long as his father does, but believing it to be part of his kanima blood. Due to the hybrid experiments, Adam can never reach his potential as a werewolf, since he is not technically supernatural.
Ever since his escape from the Dread Doctors, Adam has channeled his anger into allowing his kanima nature to take control. He often awakes to find dead bodies around him or displaced in odd locations as he does not always like to remember his crimes. But if wanted, Adam can easily take control of his beastly nature and kill for recreational purposes. Considering himself a monster, Adam likes to appear the monster and murder for fun. He is a powerful creature and deadly. His venom can not only paralyze his victims for hours, but kill them at a first injection. He has caused terror in different parts of the world, always leaving a place with stories of the lizard monster.

Never had Adam met another kanima or heard of one until he heard the rumors of one occurring in Beacon Hills. Though a name for the creature was never given, the description fit his own as a kanima. Needing to confirm it, he arrived at Beacon Hills and disguised himself as a human in order to become part of the Verum Venatores. Although he is truly a chimera, he was curious to meet a natural kanima. Under the True Believers, he was skilled enough for the weaponry and psychology faction, serving under both at times in order to help defeat the kanima – Jackson.
